Trottiscliffe Playgroup was founded in 1972, and is a member of the Preschool Learning Alliance. It is the policy of Trottiscliffe Playgroup to offer a safe, warm and happy environment for children aged from two years, where the children’s welfare and development are paramount and where the children are treated as individuals and their individual special needs are catered for.

A wide range of materials and play equipment is offered as well as a high Adult  / Child ratio, so each child has the opportunity to discover and learn at their own pace, we follow the guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage, giving the children as much free access to the outdoor space as is possible and practical. There is a balance of adult led and free chosen or child initiated activities.

Healthy snacks are provided each day

Trottiscliffe Playgroup is an Equal Opportunities Playgroup where children are accepted on a first come, first served basis, regardless of gender, race, religion or special needs.

Trottiscliffe Playgroup welcomes the involvement of parents and carers. We have a rota so that parents or carers help in the playgroup if they are able. We hold occasional Fund Raising or Social Events and invite support and participation from parents; parents are also invited to join us on our Annual Outing and to our Christmas Party. All parents are welcome to visit the playgroup at any time, and parents of new children are welcome to remain as long as they wish.

We hope that children will leave Trottiscliffe Playgroup having aquired the 6 "C"s
Confidence                Consideration
Communication         Concentration
Co-ordination            Co-operation
to equip them for the next stage of their lives.

We have two qualified members of staff and two regular helpers, all members of staff are First Aiders, we have all been CRB Checked and approved by OFSTED.

A full set of all the Policies & Procedures of the playgroup is available for parents to see at any time, as are all records kept regarding your children and the staff looking after them.
